New Media Boot Camp Reveals Best Practices for Blogging, Blogger Relations, Search Engine Optimization and Online Social Networking
Public Relations Society of America Secures New Media Pioneer Eric Schwartzman for Sept. 13 & 14 Workshop in NYC
(LOS ANGELES July 26, 2007) The Public Relations Society of America has secured Eric Schwartzman to teach his two-day new media boot camp, which has been taught for numerous Fortune 500 corporations, academic institutions and non-governmental organizations. The workshop is designed to make it easy for non-technical people, and PR professionals in particular, to learn quickly how to create blogs and use new media to reach their key constituents.
The boot camp will introduce the key concepts and techniques of effective new media communications and will contain a comprehensive overview of new media channels and strategies. Over the course of the seminar, Schwartzman will demonstrate when and how to use blogs, MySpace, YouTube and other popular Web 2.0 networking tools to effectively communicate on behalf of organizations. In addition, participants will learn:

Eric Schwartzman is managing director of Los Angeles-based, award-winning public relations firm Schwartzman & Associates, which specializes in helping public relations professionals on the agency and client side to better understand how to integrate new media into their outreach initiatives. The agency was awarded PRSA's coveted Bronze Anvil Award for the production of APM's Music, Film & TV Music Podcast, the official podcast of the Hollywood Reporter/Billboard Film & TV Music Conference.
