According to the 2015 State of the Profession Research Report released by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, many PR practitioners lack the confidence and skills required to strategically engage constituents in this brave new world.

To support the broader development of digital communications skills in the public relations trade, the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) has partnered with social media training provider and digital strategist Eric Schwartzman to present a new, two-day Social Media Manager’s Workshop, to be held in Las Vegas April 29-30, 2015.

The Social Media Manager’s Workshop is designed specifically for practitioners with tactical knowledge of social media, looking to develop sound strategic planning and more advanced, hands-on implementation capabilities.

Selling the value of social media communications to business decision makers, social media policy development, social media ambassador programs, search engine optimization, social media monitoring, digital strategy and planning, social media crisis prevention, hands-on HTML and blogging tutorials and how to use  mobile apps like Instagram, Vine and Ustream for public relations outreach are among the topics covered.
