Every year 455 lives are lost by incorrectly installed child safety seats. Nearly 80% of car seats are installed incorrectly making this the leading cause of death for children according to the US Department of Health and Human Services. Add to that the recent slew of toy recalls and the rise of online predators and you get the major issues the child safety experts will address at Baby Celebration LA.

"This year, Baby Celebration LA is incorporating important child safety information into the jam-packed agenda of event happenings so parents can learn the latest techniques for safe guarding their precious loved ones and at the same time see the infant and toddler fashion show, visit the eco-friendly sustainable garden, see $3,000 baby carriages with iPod integration and check out the largest collection of hard-to-find, boutique baby clothes, products and services in any one place," said Patrice Meluskey, co-producer of Baby Celebration LA. "We'll even have designer burp clothes, sexy maternity wear and baby "bling" pacifiers."

The child safety experts confirmed are Nancy Davis, EVP of-Strategic Communications & Brand Management for Safety4Kids.com, the first children's brand solely focused on kid's safety and wellness, Patti Fitzgerald, certified prevention educator and the founder of SafelyEverAfter.com, a helpful website for kid safety and Julie Robbins, an injury prevention and traffic safety consultant, who writes training courses for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Also speaking will be Jill Starishevsky, a New York prosecutor for crimes against children who founded HowsMyNanny.com which asks bystanders to rate the care of nannies through stroller license plates with call in phone numbers.
