Baby Celebration LA, a two-day annual boutique showcase event that brings together hard-to-find, luxurious, trendy mother and baby clothes, products and home furnishings, was launched in 2007 by stay at home moms Patrice Meluskey and Penny Domschot. By only accommodating fresh, fun and stylish vendors on the show floor, Baby Celebration LA is able to provide the public an opportunity to obtain the latest and greatest crème de la crème of celebrity endorsed trends and treasures for mothers, babies and toddlers everywhere. Baby Celebration LA, which debuted in Los Angeles last April, attracted more then ten thousand expectant parents, moms and babies. The event features pregnant mom and toddler fashion shows, mommie makeovers and plenty to gush over, in a comfortable environment that makes it easy to shop with a baby in your tummy and little ones tugging at your side. 

Event Origin
Baby Celebration LA was first dreamt up in 2006 by co-producers Patrice Meluskey and Penny Domschot and the first show debuted in April of 2007. The inspiration behind Baby Celebration LA was Ms. Domschot’s frustrating search for chic, trendy and unique baby products during her most recent pregnancy. She discovered that many boutique shops offered stylish and hip merchandise, but finding a compilation of goods under one roof was nearly impossible, and during pregnancy, traipsing all over town to find the right baby products was not her idea of fun. With a combined experience of over 25 years in the trade and consumer event production business, Ms. Domschot and Ms. Meluskey assembled widespread research on mother and baby conventions and began designing the ultimate celebration of parenthood. Their efforts, which have resulted in a luscious boutique showcase filled with the freshest products and plushest threads, exploded on the Los Angeles scene as the preeminent opportunity for moms and dads to celebrate babies and toddlers. 

Baby Celebration Los Angeles 2007
Baby Celebration LA’s two-day event opened to sell-out crowds of mommies and babies. Exhibits featured colorful displays ranging from hip apparel to vibrant nursery dioramas and silky skincare to creative arts projects and more.  This spectacular showcase turned the Los Angeles convention center into a feast for the senses, turned the ordinary into the extraordinary and gave some magical splash to the world of babies. 

The future of Baby Celebration LA
According to the United States census bureau, $4 million babies were born in the United States last year alone. The Boston Consulting Group estimates that consumer spending in the upscale baby market is roughly $45 billion a year and growing. Retail experts attribute the rise increase in the desire for luxury baby products to older more financially stable parents. Today’s parents have money and are treating their children like royalty. Baby Celebration LA is positioned as the perfect cure for America’s new high flying moms and blinging babies.
